Typical Indori Plans On New Year: Do You Have The Same ?

Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve and tomorrow is the day when you will find almost all of the Indoris going gaga and asking each other – “Bhiya, Scene kya hai?” Indore HD brings you typical Indori style of celebration that you will find more than half of the Indori Janta doing.

Gacchhi Pe “Dek” Laga Ke Naachna

Take a stroll in the city at around 10.30-11.00 PM on New Year’s Eve and you will find many terraces of Indore lighted up and some ‘Dhink Chak’ music, with treble set to max, belting out from tiny speakers, or whatever music setup they could find their hands on. This is like an age old tradition in Indore and people follow it religiously.

Chappan Se Rajwada and Rajwada Se Chappan

Yes! This is an actual plan of many Indoris on New Year. They fill their bikes with 100 rupees of petrol and all they do is; they first go to Chappan, stand there for like half an hour or so and then they’re like – “Bhiya, Rajwaada chalk ke maahol dekh ke aate hai.” Then half an hour there and they are back to chappan again to check out the ‘Maahol’ and the cycle continues.

This might sound too funny to believe but in Indore, everything is possible. There are Indoris whose actual plan is to see what others are doing in their terrace and they do this by proper planning. They will get themselves ‘Balaji’ ki chips and cold-drinks and they will sit by their windows and watch other people celebrate New Year. Watching other celebrate is their celebration!

There are places in Indore that allow entry inside if you have the pass and every Indori has a certain talent when it comes to ‘Jugaad.’ You will find many Indoris hunting for the passes of a specific place, where they could have blast of a time. And there are guys who have couple passes, but they don’t have a girl to take along!!!!!

So, these were the typical Indori ways of New Year celebration. If you know someone from Indore who celebrates New Year in a certain Indori way, then do comment and share so that others would also know another Indori way of it!
