Ujjain Simhastha 2016, is the Biggest Event of India this Year. The development of Ujjain city as religious hub is on way of completion. The event will definitely take the City to new heights on a global level.
Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Said “a resolve is being fulfilled, a dream is coming true. Ujjain is being developed as a city of everyone’s dream in unique and unparalleled way. In view of Simhastha, state Government had started preparations for Simhastha before assembly elections. No stone has been left unturned to ensure success of this religious and spiritual event in this Holy City dotted by unique places.”
The Duration of Event will be 30 days, from 22 April to 21 May 2016.
Tentative Area:– 3000+ hectares.
The Entire area is divided into 6 Zones and 22 Sectors.
Mahakaal Zone, Dutta Akhara Zone, Mangalnath Zone, Kal Bhairav Zone, Triveni Zone, Chamunda Mata Zone.

The Ghats will become divine,
Triveni Ghat:
There is a temple of Navagraha, the nine planets, on the Triveni ghat, It is a prominent centre of attraction for the pilgrims. There is a confluence of Khan River and River Saraswati (which is mythologically believed as invisible) near Triveni ghat on the Shipra.
For beautification of river, barrage will be constructed to prevent the water from Khan River to fall into Kshipra River.
These ghats were developed by the Water Resource Department for the purpose of the devotees who come for Simhasth Maha Kumbh or the Holy Bath.
Shipra River
The beautification of roads are going on, the effort of government are clearly visible. The cleanliness and greenery are making them really beautiful.
Entire length of 4-lane Indore-Ujjain road has been beautified.
To increase greenery saplings are planted on both sides of roads.
Widening of roads and repairing of railing of bridge on Kshipra river on Indore road are going on.

At the time of Simhasth Kumbh Mela the Load Requirement would be: 82 MVA for that out of 35 sanctioned works and 11 works are completed.
Overhead tanks are constructed to supply the drinking water during the Simhastha.
