गज़ब की ‘Coding’ का इस्तेमाल कर गरबे का रंग जमाया।
No, it wasn’t exactly a typical Gujarati thingy nor it was set in a “Pandaal”; a typical Garba setup that flashes in your mind when you hear any group or a company coming up with a Dandiya Event. Grand Shubharambh 2016 was an idea of a woman that brewed in her mind, when she wanted to rock the bells at rather sleepy Crystal IT Park. Thanks to the initiative taken by Vaidehi Bhargava, Manager HR – Systango, all the major IT companies in Crystal IT park, namely, Yash Technologies, Worldpay, Rack Bank, Linkites, and Hiteshi were brought together for the first time to participate in the event. When Indore HD asked Vaidehi about this idea, she said –
“All the companies were doing their own individual events and thought they might be good at their own respective levels, but they were simply not the best. I just wanted to bring all the companies together and make a HR group here, so that we could plan many events like this in the future. When I planned it, I never thought it is going to be such a HUGE hit!”
Collective Brains Behind The Event and Supporting Sponsors
Everyone had their own reservations when they heard about the event and they instantly liked the idea of doing something like this on a bigger scale. The day was 7th of October, 2016 and the preparations started two weeks before it. Everything was a bit of a task for Vaidehi and the entire planning committee comprising of Mr. Vijay Mandowara and Ms. Somya Pandey from Yash Technologies, Mr. Akshay Chauhan and Ms. Sanchayika Verma from Worldpay, Ms. Priyanka from Rack Bank, Ms. Deepti from Linkites and Ms. Sheena from Hiteshi; right from conceptualizing to planning; contacting the sponsors and making them say a ‘Yes’ for an event. Though the event was having a similar theme as many out there, but it had a very different target audience and they had to make sure it appeals everyone. Eventually everything fell into the right boxes and the event got more sponsors than they thought of. The event was powered by Apollo DB Pride and co-sponsors of the event were DSK Benelli Indore, Oye 24, Anandshree Fruit Bonanza, Discount Brand Factory, Toch, HDFC, Dasbhai by Vijay Chat House, Big Bazaar, Naturals Salon, and Hungry Wungry.

The “Live” Effect by IndoreHD
When team Indore HD reached the place for the live coverage, we were taken aback by the amazing enthusiasm of people there and we were really happy to see how well they collaborated and how full of ‘Josh’ they were in. As this was something really big Indore HD was featuring for the first time “live’, we were really happy to see the response of people and gave big shout out to Vaidehi and the entire planning committee on spot for all their blood and sweat they flowed for this.

The ‘Techno’ Garba and the ‘Coded’ Dandiya!
When team Indore HD reached the Crystal IT Park, while the event was finally going live in the night at around 8.00 pm, nature had other plans and it started raining quite heavily. We were quite sure that we are not going to see any performances by the team members and we thought it is going to be a dud; but No Sir! These people were ready to dance in the rain and it in fact pumped up their enthusiasm to an entirely new level. There were dances, there were performances, there were matching outfits, with each and every organisation that participated in surprise acts gave their best shot.
Everyone in the event had ball of a time and as there was proper arrangement for snacks and juices, it was more like a proper party! Here is the list of winners according to companies.

All in all, this was an amazing event and team Indore HD was fortunate enough to cover it exclusively. We are looking forward to more such events from the newly formed group at Crystal IT Park and Vaidehi has hinted that there will be many more exiting ones to come!
