In his Mann ki Baat address to the nation, PM Modi on Sunday emphasised on the talent of Indians to become a toy hub for the entire world. He called upon startups to work towards the same. Prime minister, in his address, stated that how imperative it is to get “Vocal about Local toys”. He stressed on how India’s share in the global toy industry is way too small as the industry is giant with a net worth of over Rs 7 lakh crores.
PM Modi called upon start-up entrepreneurs to ”team up for toys” and cited that it is time to get vocal for local toys. In addition to this, Modi also stated that people have shown an unprecedented restraint and simplicity in their festivals during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister hailed farmers for ensuring an increase in the sowing area for different grains. He stated that how farmers have proved their mettle even during the pandemic and asked the young entrepreneurs to develop computer games about India in the country.
