Traditionally, people gather wood logs from each house of the community for the bonfire of Holi. It is believed that with the wood logs people eliminate the negativity out of their houses & Lives.

On the eve of Holi or after sunset, the pyre is lit, signifying Holika Dahan. Ladies worship the pyre and offer different offerings to the fire like coconut, wheat grass, and sweets. People gather around the fire to sing and dance and spray gulal on others.
DHULENDI – THE EVENT OF COLORS
From the ancient times people on the next day when the bonfire cools down, people apply ash to their foreheads. After that the celebration of colorful holi begins.
