Indore To Be Rigged With CCTVs Through The Length & Breadth Of The City!

CCTV security services in Indore- IndoreHD

Making surveillance the foundation of a Smart, safe and secure Indore, the civic body is contemplating equipping all public areas of the city with closed-circuit televisions (CCTVs). This would be a pan-city surveillance system. It will help police to a great extent in surveillance and investigation because most of the time they have to rely on private cameras only.

As part of its plans to increase safety and surveillance system in the city, Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) has come up with this idea is to equip all public areas of the city with CCTV.  Within this plan, it will be made mandatory for areas that witness the presence and movement of at least 100 people a day to be covered with CCTV surveillance systems.

Be it residential townships, apartments or colonies, commercial complexes, markets, hostels, restaurants, schools, colleges, such areas will be covered as a part of this plan. Furthermore, they will be connected with nearby police station for surveillance purpose.

A proposal has been sent to the state government for approval. Once cleared,  it will be made compulsory for all public places and CCTV feed will be provided to the nearby police station. It would also be integrated with Integrated Control and Command Centre (ICCC).

Other than the areas wherein CCTVs are already installed, IMC will install CCTV at inner roads, squares, playgrounds, bus stands, compound, etc which will be connected with nearby police stations.

It is to be noted that the compulsion would not apply for private or individual property. Only public places will be covered under this city surveillance system.

If all goes well, this initiative would set an example across the country. Indore would become the first city to set up a city surveillance system in limited expenditure!
