Meet Mr. Kapil; a guy from Indore who, at first, looks like your next door, happy to go lucky guy in his twenties but in actual, Kapil is special because he is small. 3 feet, 8 inches small! We know that you seldom meet people in your life who are this small and they take you by surprise. What makes Kapil the star of this story, is the fact that he has achieved quite a feat. He dedicated himself to go after a goal and made sure that he isn’t stopping till he has smashed it! Let’s know more about him!
A little bit of Information about Kapil
Kapil was born with Arthrogryposis; a term given to multiple joint contractures. In simpler terms, Kapil’s bones were not as flexible as a normal person’s are and he cannot move them much. They are stuck to one position and it makes it impossible to move his body like a normal mortal does. All he can do is move the muscle around the bone and this allows him to do his work. He also doesn’t have a knee cap, his hip joints are dislocated and he also has an abnormal curvature of the spine that results in his nerves getting pinched, causing a tingling sensation. Phew!
Weight loss
All these problems that he had from birth, caused him to gain weight over time; 68 kgs to be precise. To me and you, 68 kgs might not be much, but for someone who is only 3 feet 8 inches tall, that is a lot. Kapil decided that he had enough and now he is going to do something about it. He started working out and doing vigorous exercises and managed to lose about 4 kgs in the first month. The results automatically boosted his confidence and pumped him to do more.
Don’t You Give Up!
After 5 months of dedicated exercise, Kapil has managed to lose 15 kgs in total and now stands at 53 kgs. This is when he was told not to go to the gym and consult a Physiotherapist instead. He is working out in his home and during the weight loss; he wasn’t eating anything more than 600-800 calories a day. Now, Kapil weighs 40 kgs and looks completely different from what he used to be!
Indore HD salutes the dedication this man has shown and takes forward the message Kapil gives – “If I Can, You Too Can.” There is no excuse for anything, if you want something badly get off your arse work hard for it and achieve it!
