Online Payment has been made mandatory for booking appointment to visit a Passport Seva Kendra (PSK). Online Payment can be made through any one of the following modes: Credit/Debit Card (MasterCard and Visa), Internet Banking (State Bank of India (SBI) and Associate Banks only) and SBI Bank Challan.
Online Payment will remain valid for one year from the first appointment date.

GO TO e-File- Income Tax Return- Prepare and Submit Online
Download Income Tax Return and Upload XML. To file an Income Tax Return electronically, you should download the Income Tax Return (ITR) Utility applicable, fill and generate an XML. This XML should be uploaded in the application post LOGIN.You can import the details of the previous version into the new version of utility using the “Import Previous Version” facility. Click on the “Import Previous Version” button and select the path where the previous version is available and click OK. The data is uploaded successfully.
Log on to the Income Tax Department’s portal (www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in) meant for filing taxes online. Register yourself using your Permanent Account Number (PAN), which will act as your user ID.
On home page, GO TO ‘Download’ section and select applicable Income Tax Return Form of the desired Assessment year OR Login to e-Filing application and GO TO —> ‘Download’—>‘Income Tax Return Form’ and select applicable Income Tax Return (ITR).
Download the excel/java utility of the Income Tax Return (ITR).
Fill the excel/jave utility and Validite. Refer the “Step to pre-fill in Income Tax Return” as mentioned below
Generate an XML file and SAVE in deired destination in your system.
LOGIN to e-Filing application and GO TO —> e-File —> Upload Return.
Select the Income Tax Return Form and Assessment Year.
Browse and Select the XML file
Upload Digital Signature the XML file
Upload Digital Signature Certificate, if available and applicable and click SUBMIT button
On successful upload, Acknowledgement details would be displayed. Click the link to view or generate a printout of Acknowledgement/ ITR-V Form.
LOGIN to e-Filing application and GO TO ‘Download’ —> ‘Income Tax Return Forms’
Download the excel/java utility of the slected Income Tax Return.
GO TO ‘Downloads’ —> ‘Download Pre-fill XML’ and download.
Open the excel/java utility , then click on ‘BROWSE’ and select the path where the download Pre-fill XML file is stored and click the SUBMIT button
The Personal and Tax information is pre-filled in the respective fields of the excel/java utility (ITR). You can edit the Tax information, if needed.
