Junapani Waterfall Near Indore : In Quest of the Greenery and Fun

Like you must have already gotten the idea that how much Team Indore HD is into weekend adventures, with our recent line of articles, we decided not to disappoint you and give you something more to explore around Indore. We always believe that the calm and serenity a nature has in store for each one of us, we are just not going to find it in anything that is being made or constructed by humans.

Again, before deciding which place to go to, we started ticking off the most explored places around Indore and came across one place that none of us ever explored – Junapani. Well, the most exciting thing about this place wasn’t the waterfall, but the beauty and the trek around it. The actual waterfall might not be of everyone’s liking, but the best part of Junapani is the trek and the lush green surroundings, it has in store for you.

How to Reach Junapani Waterfall ?

Junapani is pretty close to Indore and is about 35 kms from the main city. The roads are pretty good so you can even take your two wheelers there. You have to take the main AB road and then head straight to Rau and then Pigdambar. From there, head to Umariya village and from MHOW you can easily reach to Junapani. GPS works pretty well in the major areas and the locals are more than helpful to guide you.

    The Trek

Junapani’s trek starts way before the actual waterfall and you have to park your vehicles much before. The path is quite nice but make sure you are wearing sports shoes, as you have to encounters stones, rubbles, mud and animal droppings. The path gets really sticky if it has rained in the area, so be prepared to get your clothes dirty. Once you will cross the path that takes you from the jungle, you will be greeted by a vast view of mountains at the end of it. The view is surely breathtaking and is heaven to photographers and nature lovers alike.

    The Junapani Waterfall

Junapani waterfall is just at the end where the trek finishes. You have to go down to reach the fall and it ends in a pit, not too deep or shallow. This is really a good spot for people who are looking out for a good time in water. The water falls from a very low height but the entire view of the region is really nice. There might be other people on weekends but on the weekdays, the place is mostly empty.
