To promote religious tourism, the district administration has decided to promote all major festivals of Indore at the international level and as a part of the proposal, the administration has decided to carry out documentation of all the famous religious structures and places of the district. As an inclusion, big celebrations like fair, festivities and others will be covered.
As per a popular news source in the city, the collector, Lokesh Kumar Jatav believes that the city has huge potential to be promoted as one of the major religious tourist destinations as it is a birthplace of the Lord Parshuram and Gautam Rishi.
Indore, which is the state’s commercial capital, is situated in middle of Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga and people visiting these places either stay in Indore or pass through it.
MP Madhyam will cover Khajrana Ganesh Mandir, Imambada, Janapav, White Church, Imli Sahib, Charan Betma Sahib Gurudwara and other known religious places of the district in a documentary, which will be circulated on social media platforms for the promotion.
In the lieu of the same, festivals of Rangpanchami Gair, Anant Chaturdashi, Hingot Yuddh, Chowki Dhulai, too will be promoted.
Moreover, from Indore airport, a flight to Dubai has been started while they are expected to connect with other parts of the world soon. To target tourists, they will take help from travel agents, hoteliers, and social media platforms.
Apart from promoting known places and festivals of Indore, the administration is emphasizing on making required arrangements at the said spots/events to facilitate the people visiting there.
