Scared game season 1 was another level of storyline presented by Original content streaming giant ‘Netflix’. It is India’s first and most loving crime, suspense, thriller mystery. This crime thriller is based on a novel by Vikram Chandra under the same name. With surprising and engaging storyline by Varun Grover, Smita Singh, and Vasant Nath, and directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwani, they hold the audience and submerge them into the timeline of famous character Ganesh Gaitonde (which was played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui).
With so much buzz and suspense around its second season, Netflix finally dropped a small 27-second character-reveal teaser of Season 2, and the viewers already went gaga. Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Ganesh Gaitonde
With epic acting and ‘taali maar’ lines like “Kabhi Kabhi to lagta hai ki apunich bhagwaan hai” Or “Jake dekh recaard main, insaan hai ya bhagwan”, Nawaz took the limelight every time he appeared on screen. With having underdog story, and breathtaking journey of his life in season 1, his character has layers under layer. Moving forward to season 2, people are really wanting to know more about his revenge, the chemistry between Guruji, how he will end up in the abandoned place and what is the planning behind the doomsday.
2. Saif Ali Khan as Sartaj Singh
The freshness on the screen is to look at our very own “Dil Chahta Hai boy” and “Lagda Tyagi”, Saif. Being a perfect hardworking Sardar and police officer, he added the charm in the series. Delivering lines with minimal efforts and one of the dialogue to Ganesh “tum mere papaji ko kaise Jante ho”. He was fun to watch.
Saif played the character of that policeman who wants to do really good things, but his seniors and system push him down. 3. Kalki Koechlin as Batya Abelman
Kalki is one of the finest actresses in our generation, she knows when and how to play with emotions, and when the people got to know that she has joined the star cast of Scared Game Season 2, her fans are already looking forward to witnessing another triumph by her. Knowing from the sources on the internet, she is playing a role of Batya Abelman and recently Netflix dropped an image on its Instagram with the caption “seek the truth, no matter the cost”, it gave the idea that she is searching for some kind of lost truth in the story of Ganesh Gaitonde. Also, many fans theories are coming over it, with one saying that she is the daughter of Ganesh and Kukku, hilarious it is. But the truth will only be revealed with the on-air of next season.
4. Ranvir Shorey as Shaid Khan
Ranvir is added newly to the cast and when Netflix introduced him as “this time we are bringing out the big guns” many of us wandered is he a government officer or another gangster, judging from his attire he is looking more as an officer who is hunting for the bad guys. Ranvir has always been a fine actor and played different kinds of characters. We are hoping he will have a superb role in the upcoming episodes.
5. Pankaj Tripathi as Guruji
Oh my, one can not be stunned by the amount of deepness in the acting of Pankaj Tripathi, he has a tint of subtleness and presenting dialogues with ease is his forte. As seen, his character in season 1, we feel he is having a major role in the new season, playing a character of witty and mysterious Khanna Guruji. In season 1, his character is more about the mastermind behind the mafias, and he is the real brain behind all, that’s why intro says, “khel chahe jitna bhi kathin ho, Guruji ke pass saare uttar hai”. This line itself builds the mist of suspense. Pankaj Tripathi is surely going to steal the limelight with his acting skills, after all his memes are still ruling over the internet like, “wo stree hai, wo kuch bhi kar sakti hai”
So, here are five main and really important characters that Netflix dropped in the teaser. This season will be most epic because fans have waited a long time for it. This time it is co-directed by Masaan director Neeraj Ghaywan along with Anurag Kashyap. Fans are also looking forward to seeing Katekar in flashbacks, which was played by Talented Jitendra Joshi who eventually died in season one. With many mystery, question, and conspiracy around the final day, however, the biggest question is the release date, which was not mentioned by Netflix in YouTube video or Instagram posts. “Just tell us the launch date,” now fans are demanding this only.
