Putting together six gigs in different parts of the country, the BIG69 pre gigs are here to take India by storm, with a massive line-up building up to India’s first heavy metal pilgrimage BIG69. HEADLINING ACT:
Providence (Mumbai)
True to the spirit of heavy metal, Providence is a band that can leave a stamp on any stage they play. Holding the fort with their brand of Modern Thrash, Providence has quickly emerged in the ranks of the Indian metal scene as a band that is worthy of a big stage, with their incendiary live shows. Providence released their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Vanguard’ in September 2011 and went on to win best band, best album, best vocalist and best artwork at the Rolling Stone Metal Awards in 2012. The band has also been nominated for best band/album at Jack Daniels Rock Awards and Radio City Freedom awards. Providence supported Megadeth in Delhi earlier in 2014, playing multiple cities and festivals in India like Control Alt Delete, Outrage Festival, etc.

AbraXas (Pune)
Abraxas is a five-piece metal outfit from Pune, India. Formed in September 2008, the band created an identity for itself in the Indian metal scene, experienced widespread notice, and evolved into the monster it is today after earning a deserved opening slot for the mighty Iron Maiden at Rock in India, Bangalore in 2009. Sonically, Abraxas is a mesh of genres molten together to create a uniquely distinguishable sound in metal. The sound, coupled with their intensely aggressive performances led them to captivate audiences all over the country. The band went on a hiatus and has now returned stronger and more powerful than ever, ready to take the stage once again.

Elemental (India) (Indore)
Elemental is a four-piece death metal band from Bhopal/Indore, India. Winning almost every big competition they’ve played, this band believes in power and energy-driven live performances, engulfed in guttural vocals, extreme guitar playing and gut-pounding drums, the finest to come out of central India. Home to Indore, Elemental is ready to bring some brutality to the table, come December end.

Zero Gravity (Indore)
Zero Gravity is a five-piece progressive death metal band from Indore, India, that started off in 2012. Creating death metal with a more progressive edge, the band gained appreciation and played big competitions/gigs, earning a place in the metal scene of the country. Fronted by one gutsy woman, this is a band you should not miss out on!

KillKount (Bhopal)
KillKount’s is a slam death band from Bhopal, formed early in 2014. Their music style is influenced heavily by underground slam-death, and a little bit of old school thrash metal, helping them create there own unique blend of death metal. The band is currently working on their debut release ‘Schizophrenik Machine Kill’ to be released in mid 2015.
